What is Lucy’s Helping Hands?
Lucy’s Helping Hands is an organization for girls aged 9-13. The goals of the group are to nurture self-esteem and inspire leadership skills through participation in and planning of service projects and charitable endeavors.
How often do you meet?
Lucy’s Helping Hands meets twice a month and completes at least one service/community project per month during the summer. Meeting itinerary include planning for upcoming projects, educational/life skills training and social activities/games.
Do I need any special skills?
No special skills required! Just bring an open heart…and get ready to have fun!
What and how many adults are involved?
In addition to the LHH founders, Kathy and Allyson, advisory board members, parents and volunteers are all actively involved in meetings and projects. On all outings, a ratio of at least one adult per three girls is consistently maintained.
Who can join Lucy’s Helping Hands?
Any girl between the ages of 9 and 13 is enthusiastically welcomed to join Lucy’s Helping Hands!
